LibUGT is a cross-platform backend (via glut) for libUFO, a widget set for OpenGL.
This project is hosted on sourceforge.
WARNING:
This project is not at all finished or usable. So far, this is only for demstration to show that libUFO can be plugged together with different underlaying framework layers.
This project is searching for a maintainer.
Only if there is enough interest (ca 1,000 clicks per day ;-), I will finish libUGT.

It seems that there are some problems with gcc-3.0 and glut.
I have successfully tested and compiled libugt with gcc-2.95. Therefore, you will have to compile libUFO with the same copmiler than libUGT (gcc-2.95).
